When I'm not songwriting, I'm probably painting at home often when I put my son down for a nap. In the midst of some down time, I've decided to release my very first abstract art series as I've been primarily focusing on commission work. As I've been an artist my whole life, I was given the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy back in my college days where I studied oil painting. It was truly the best summer of my life with lots of wine might I add. It was a place filled with vibrant, whimsical, but also lots of neutral colors with a culture that felt so free-spirited. These pieces are inspired by just that- whimsy, free-spirit. I hope they find a home that values visual arts and doesn't mind a little whimsy in their life. Stay tuned for the release!
